The Federal Government has announced plans to extend Nigeria’s rail infrastructure to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, a move aimed at improving transportation efficiency, easing chronic traffic congestion in the city, and strengthening overall connectivity between key economic hubs.
According to the proposal, the rail extension will link existing urban rail lines within Lagos to the airport terminals, creating a seamless transit option for passengers, airport workers, and logistics operators.
