In a bid to steer the youth away from criminal activities, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced the launch of Dove FC, a football club aimed at nurturing young talents and instilling moral values.

The unveiling ceremony of Dove FC took place at the sprawling Redeemed Camp in Lagos State over the weekend, drawing attention from both sports enthusiasts and religious followers. Selected from various regions across Nigeria, the players, aged between 16 and 21, have been carefully chosen with the intention of honing their skills for potential professional careers in the sporting world.
During the event, Pastor Adeboye delivered an inspiring address, urging the young athletes to prioritize the service of God over material gains, emphasizing the importance of moral integrity and spiritual development in their journey towards success.
He stated
“Winning is by God’s divine and not by might. To be a winner, you must have God by your side.”

In a statement underscoring the significance of the initiative, Prince Dapo Ajibade, the chairman of Dove FC, highlighted the role of the team in expanding the church’s influence and reaching out to the youth through the universal language of sports.
“By the special grace of God and with the support of the GO, Dove FC will expand to become the biggest brand in the world,” he said.
The establishment of Dove FC represents a strategic effort by the church to break new ground in fostering positive social change and providing a constructive outlet for the nation’s budding talents.
