Arsenal F.C. have officially won the 2025/2026 Premier League title after Manchester City F.C. were held to a 1-1 draw by A.F.C. Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The result confirmed Arsenal as champions with one match still left to play this season.
Manchester City needed all three points against Bournemouth to keep their hopes of retaining the title alive and force the race to continue until the final day. However, Pep Guardiola’s side failed to get the victory they needed.
Bournemouth started the game strongly and took the lead through Kroupi Junior, who scored with an excellent curling shot past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The home fans celebrated wildly as City struggled to respond for most of the match.
Although Manchester City controlled possession for long periods, they found it difficult to break down Bournemouth’s defence. David Brooks had two clear opportunities to make it 2-0 for Bournemouth, but he failed to convert either chance.
City eventually found an equaliser late in the game when Erling Haaland fired the ball into the net to make it 1-1. Despite the late goal, the draw was not enough to keep City in the title race.
Arsenal’s success marks a major achievement for manager Mikel Arteta, who has guided the club to the Premier League crown after several seasons of rebuilding the team.
The Gunners have been one of the most consistent sides throughout the campaign, producing strong performances both at home and away.
The North London club will now celebrate their title triumph before being officially presented with the Premier League trophy during Sunday’s away match against Crystal Palace F.C..
