President Bola Tinubu has accused the opposition politicians of undermining democratic values while claiming to uphold them, even as a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Aisha Yesufu claimed that opposition leaders’ alliance is becoming Tinubu’s nightmare.
Speaking on Tuesday at the State House while receiving a delegation from Enugu State, led by Governor Peter Mbah, the President said, “I do not lose sleep over criticism because we are committed to building a nation of bright hope for our children.
“These are leaders who had privatised electricity, which is not working. They gave us darkness, and we are trying to get through it.
But they don’t even believe in the democracy that they preach all about. Don’t pay attention to them because I don’t.”
And in a post on her official X page the same day, the socio-political activist pointed out that “Tinubu and his people are very scared” of the 2027 presidential election.
She pointed out that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) never imagined the convergence of political heavyweights that occurred in ADC.
“Mr Tinubu and his people are very scared! More scared than they were in 2022.
“The alignment that has happened and is still happening is one that they never envisioned happening!
“So, they will do everything they can to discourage you! Ignore them and do your thing,” Yesufu wrote.
