Dangote Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to N774 per litre. The price was previously N799 per litre.

The refinery announced the new price in a notice released on Tuesday. This means the company reduced its petrol price by N25 per litre.

In the notice, the refinery told marketers about the new gantry price and also informed them that its petrol lifting bonus has ended.

According to the statement, the lifting bonus officially ended at midnight on February 10, 2026. However, marketers who loaded petrol between February 2 and February 10, within the approved volume limits, will still receive their credit adjustments in their account statements.

While Dangote Refinery is now selling petrol at N774 per litre at the gantry, some depot owners such as Eterna and MENJ are selling at N790 per litre, according to industry data.

At the same time, imported petrol is reportedly selling at an average price of N721.80 per litre, based on figures released by the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria last week.

Despite the reduction at the depot level, retail petrol prices in Abuja still range between N839 and N905 per litre.

It will be recalled that in January 2026, Dangote Refinery increased its petrol price from N699 to N799 per litre. That increase led to a rise in petrol prices across the country.
