The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will begin on December 21, with host nation Morocco taking on Comoros in the opening match. The game will be played at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, a stadium that can hold 69,500 fans.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the full match schedule, confirming that the tournament will be played across nine stadiums in six cities. Rabat will have four venues, while the cities of Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier will each host matches in one stadium.
For the quarter-finals, matches will be played in Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir. The semi-finals will take place in Rabat and Tangier, while the third-place play-off will be held at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.
The tournament will be a month-long football spectacle, featuring 52 matches over 29 days. Fans can expect thrilling performances, intense competition, and an exciting showcase of African football talent.
