American rapper and YouTuber, Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has shared that he is considering moving to Lagos, Nigeria.
The entertainer said this while expressing doubts about staying in the United States.
In a viral post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, DDG hinted that he might relocate to either London, England, or Lagos, Nigeria. He explained that he is no longer satisfied with life in America, saying the country is not as appealing to him as it used to be.
“America isn’t really it anymore, not gonna lie. I might have to move to London or Lagos,” DDG wrote.
The rapper’s statement came at a time when Los Angeles, California, is dealing with severe wildfires.
These wildfires have caused significant damage, claimed several lives, and left many people displaced.
While DDG didn’t directly mention the wildfires as a reason for his remarks, some online users speculated that the ongoing natural disaster could have influenced his thoughts about leaving the country.
This is not the first time celebrities have expressed dissatisfaction with living in the United States. For DDG, however, Lagos and London seem to be his preferred destinations for a fresh start.
If he does relocate to Lagos, it would mark a major lifestyle change for the rapper, as he would be moving to a city known for its vibrant culture, music scene, and bustling energy.
Fans are now curious about what might come next for DDG and whether he will make the big move. For now, his post has sparked conversations online about the challenges of living in America and the appeal of other global cities.
