VICTORIA CHUKWUANI

Nollywood actress Shan George has said she thought that the controversy surrounding the death of her colleague Junior Pope was a publicity staunt to promote a movie he was filming.

It would be recalled that Nollywood actor whose real name Obumneme Odonwodo and three actors were announced to have died when their boat overturned on the Anam River in Anambra State as they were returning from a film set, ‘Another Side of Life’, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.

After reports that he had died went viral, several of his colleagues including the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) debunked the death report, saying that he was alive.

She wrote:

“I was in shock and in denial wen d sad news broke, I sincerely tot they’ve come again wit preposterous promotional concept for d movie being shot, I even got very angry over such dark concepts that I lashed out.
