Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Kaduna State on Thursday to express condolences to the families and victims affected by the tragic military air strike in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area.

Welcomed at the Nigerian Air Force base, Mando, by Governor Uba Sani and key officials of the Kaduna State Government, Vice President Shettima was joined by Minister of Defence Abubakar Badaru, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbass.

Originally scheduled for Wednesday, Shettima postponed his visit to Thursday, marking the fourth day since the devastating airstrike claimed over 85 lives and left numerous others injured in the North-Western state.

The incident, which occurred last Sunday, has drawn condemnation from both local and international watchdogs, prompting calls for thorough investigations and a standardized review of procedural activities.

Taking responsibility for the tragedy, the Army, represented by Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, expressed regret during his visit to the community, offering apologies and assurances to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
