The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended movie producer cum actress Adanma Luke over the death of Nollywood star, Junior Pope and others who went missing after a boat accident.
Top Society reports that Junior Pope was confirmed dead on Wednesday night after several attempts to resuscitate him failed.
The actor alongside other crew members drowned in the River Niger area during a movie production.
Following the unfortune incident, the guild in a statement on Thursday, announced that Adanma Luke who is the producer of the said movie titled Another Side of Life has been suspended from filming till further notice and no actor is allowed to work with her as a producer.
The guild also stated that “all films involving riverine areas and boating riding is hereby suspended indefinitely.”
“No shoot on all locations Nationwide on Thursday 11th April 2024. While we keep searching for the bodies of the remaining persons may their souls rest in peace,” the statement added.
