Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has called on the general public to pray for ailing actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.
The actress via a post on her verified Facebook page on Thursday made the statement with several heartbreaks and crying emojis.
“Please pray for Mr Ibu,” Doris Ogala wrote.
The actress did not, however, reveal the reason for the sudden call for prayers, but many of the actor’s fans took to the comment section of the post to express worry over his current health status.
Ogala’s calls for prayer is coming shortly after the comic actor’s adopted daughter Jasmine said he was improving.
Recall, Jasmine had shared a video on her Instagram page announcing that the actor had undergone seven successful surgeries, including an amputation of one of his legs.
In the footage shared, she also stated that she has been taking care of the actor, captioning the video,
“As long as you are getting better, nothing else matters. I remain silent until you are back on your feet again! Cheers.”
Jasmine’s caption was in response to the multiple allegations against by her by Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris.
Stella Maris had accused Jasmine of denying her access to the funds donated for Mr Ibu’s surgery.
According to Stella, her step daughter and step son, Daniel secretly got married and are planning to relocate abroad with the funds.
Stella’s allegations against Jasmine came while responding to Verydarkman’s allegations that she accused Jasmine of highjacking money meant for Ibu’s surgery because she wanted to fund her expensive lifestyle.
Mr Ibu’s health first made news in October when a video of the actor celebrating his birthday on a hospital bed surfaced on social media.
On October 31, the family of the actor had expressed gratitude to God and the general public for their support, while disclosing that he recovering in an intensive care unit (ICU) after undergoing five successful surgeries.
