Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced that his ministry will begin holding weekly Sunday services in Abuja, with a clear directive that offerings will not be collected.

He made this known in an online message shared on Tuesday. In the video, posted on Sunday, January 11, Oyedepo explained that the decision was based on specific instructions he received from God.

According to him, the central focus of the ministry is discipleship and equipping believers to genuinely follow Jesus Christ, rather than emphasizing financial practices. He noted that while collecting offerings is a common and acceptable practice in many churches, his ministry has been guided to operate differently for this particular assignment.

“God gave me clear instructions not to collect offerings,” Oyedepo stated, stressing that his priority must remain the spiritual growth and development of the people.

The announcement coincided with the launch of the ministry’s Sunday services, which are scheduled to hold weekly in Abuja. During the broadcast, Oyedepo explained that his approach to ministry is modeled after the early ministry of Jesus Christ.

“All Jesus did during His early ministry was to make disciples; the fire fell, and they were filled and refilled. Before He left, He commanded us to do the same,” he said.

He further emphasized that spiritual growth requires a consistent journey through the Word of God, questioning how spiritually healthy churches would be if believers were deeply rooted in the Scriptures.

Born on February 26, 1985, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo officially transitioned to his independent ministry on November 28, 2023, following years of service at Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel.
His decision to launch an independent ministry came after many years of dedicated work within the global Christian ministry founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
