Nigeria Defeat Uganda 3 to 1 to Remain AFCON’s Only Perfect Team

Nigeria continued their impressive run in the ongoing AFCON campaign with a confident 3 to 1 victory over Uganda today, strengthening their position as the only team with a perfect record after seven matches.

The Super Eagles dominated the encounter from the opening minutes, controlling possession and creating clear scoring chances. Their attacking approach paid off as Nigeria scored three well worked goals, showing composure and quality in the final third.

Uganda managed to score once, but Nigeria remained organised and disciplined, preventing any serious comeback. With this result, the Super Eagles have now played seven games, won all seven, and scored nine goals without suffering a defeat, a record unmatched by any other team in AFCON so far.

This victory adds to Nigeria’s growing reputation for resilience and consistency. Earlier in the campaign, the Super Eagles showed similar character in a tense encounter in Fez, where they survived heavy pressure to secure victory, as seen when
