Fayose Alleges Three PDP Governors Planning Move to APC

Rhoda

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has alleged that three of the eight remaining governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are making plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the next general elections.

Fayose claimed that one of the five governors staying back in the PDP is only doing so to pursue the party’s presidential ticket, reportedly using it as a tool to negotiate protection from possible investigations after leaving office. He described these moves as politically motivated, suggesting that loyalty to ideology has taken a back seat to personal survival.

The former governor’s remarks have fuelled conversations within Nigeria’s political space, where shifting alliances remain a familiar trend. Similar developments were recently reported, including Kenneth Okonkwo’s call for INEC action in Bayelsa and Peter Obi’s assurance to Nigerians.
