Federal High Court Announces Annual Christmas Vacation 

....Normal Judicial Activities to Pause Until January 8

In a recent notice issued by the Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court, Sulaiman Hassan, it has been confirmed that the court will experience a slowdown in normal judicial activities starting from December 18. This temporary pause is due to the court’s annual Christmas vacation.

The vacation is scheduled to commence on December 18 and will extend until January 5 of the following year.

During this period, the Federal High Court will be closed, and regular operations will be temporarily halted.

The Chief Registrar emphasized that normal court activities are expected to resume on January 8, marking the end of the annual Christmas vacation.

“However, Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt judicial divisions shall remain open to the public only for matters relating to enforcement of fundamental rights; arrest or release of vessels and matters that concern dire national interest. 

“The court shall resume sitting on Monday, 8th January, 2024.”
