Minister for Interior: The Federal High Court in the Federal Capital Territory has scheduled the 7th of November, 2023, for the hearing of a case aimed at terminating the appointment of the current Minister for Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The case, brought by the civil society and non-governmental organization ‘Advancement Of Social Justice and Economic Development Initiatives,’ alleges discrepancies in the minister’s credentials during his screening by the national assembly.

Specifically, the issue revolves around his NYSC Certificate obtained while he served as an Honorable Member of the House of Representatives between May 2019 and May 2023.
The case labeled suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1140/23 has been scheduled for hearing on the specified date.
The plaintiff has named the minister as the 1st defendant, while the attorney-general has been named as the 2nd defendant.
The plaintiff seeks various reliefs, including annulling the appointment of the minister and restraining him from functioning in the capacity of the Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
