The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has made his presence at the Lagos Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which is currently in session at the Rosaline Omotoso Courthouse in Ikeja on Monday, September 25, 2023.
Dr. Hamzat’s arrival at the tribunal was marked by a substantial presence of security personnel. Top Society had reported earlier that there was heightened security in the court premises. He was seen entering the courthouse at approximately 9:20 a.m., flanked by several of his aides.

The tribunal, amidst heightened anticipation, has commenced the process of delivering judgment on the petition filed by the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Azeez Olajide, popularly known as Jandor. Their petition challenges the election victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
