The Federal Government and the National Assembly have begun efforts to significantly increase the number of beneficiaries under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), with a target of reaching seven million students across the country.
The move is part of a broader plan to improve access to education and reduce financial barriers faced by many young Nigerians seeking higher learning opportunities.
Officials involved in the programme believe that expanding the scheme will provide greater support to students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other approved institutions.
