The senior pastor of the Daystar Christian Center, Sam Adeyemi has admonished men with concerns about their “small manhood” to focus on inner growth and meaningful relationships.
The clergyman addressing his congregation on Sunday, emphasised on self acceptance, adding that the physical size of manhood does not determine its effectiveness.
The 57-year-old shared a personal anecdote from his secondary school days, highlighting the absurdity of body comparisons.
He expressed concern about the increasing number of male enhancement products advertised online, cautioning men to focus on connection and understanding in their relationships rather than physical attributes.
“I went to an all-boys secondary school. I still remember the day some of my classmates went somewhere, and by the time they came back, we had now found out what they had gone to do. They went with a ruler to measure their private parts and to compare. Nothing destroys self-image more than that. It is nonsense,” Adeyemi said.
The author of Build Real Wealth: Practical Steps to Regain Financial Stability reiterated that the size of one’s manhood is far less important than skill and genuine connection.
He urged young men not to let social media or societal expectations mislead them.
“If you are a young guy, let me encourage you because it is there; it’s all over the internet now. Are they not there? Everywhere you look, you will see either medicine or one Chinese method of elongating your…
“It is a lie; it is not the length that matters but the effectiveness, the skills and your love for the other person. So, for God’s sake, wait till you get married. If it is only one person you are doing it with, there will be no need to compare all over the place. Do not let them kill you,” he said.
Adeyemi, 57, further commented on how social media creates unrealistic ideals, leading to insecurities and trauma.
