I Regret Not Having Baby Mammas, Nigerian Singer Skales Says

Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter Raoul John Njeng-Njeng better known by his stage name Skales has expressed his regrets for not having baby mamas like his colleagues in the Industry. In a recent interview, the music star revealed that he is the only surviving member of his family and his need to preserve his bloodline. He also stated that everyone is reliant on him to produce a heir that would continue the family’s bloodline 

The 33 year old music star opened up to VJ Adams in an interview about his desire to continue his bloodline.The Singer’s disclosure has become a trending topic after the interview went viral on social media.

The Nigerian singer says he regrets being the only surviving member of his family, which means he has to reproduce if he wants his lineage to continue. In his words:

“Right now I regret not having baby mamas, I really regret because I am like the only person in my family bloodline that is alive right now so the whole bloodline relies on me to produce. I think I’m receiving applications.” The former E.M.E signee also narrated how he realised his need to expand his bloodline after his mother died. He said: “When my mum died is when I realised that there is not much of my bloodline.” 

Skales signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment(E.M.E) in 2009. In 2000, he started writing rap songs in Kaduna, Nigeria. In  2007 and 2008, he travelled to Jos to work with Jesse Jagz and Jeremiah Gyang. In 2008, he entered the Zain Tru Search competition and won the competition’s North Central region.

His debut single ‘Must Shine’ received numerous spin on the Rhythm Fm stations in Lagos, Abuja and Jos. He has collaborated numerous singers like Tekno, Akon, Banky, Eldee, Harmonize and many others.

The singer’s well known songs include, ‘Komole’, Shake Body’, ‘Mukulu’, ‘My Baby’, ‘Denge Pose’, ‘Keresimesi’ and ‘Take Care of Me’. After leaving E.M.E, in May 2014, he set up the independent OHK Music record label. His debut studio album ‘Man of The Year’ was released in 2015.

He was among several other celebrities like Davido and Super Eagles player John Ogu to criticize Desmond Elliot for pushing social media regulation back in October 2020.

Skales regrets about not having baby mamas, as well as his explanation, has drawn the attention of a lot of social media users.
