Super Eagles coach, Éric Chelle, will meet with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee this week to finalise the list of players for the 2026 World Cup African playoff. The playoff begins on November 13 in Morocco.
Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semifinal on November 13. If the Super Eagles win, they will play the winner between Cameroon and DR Congo in the final on November 16.
An NFF official told The Guardian that Chelle has already selected the players he wants. The meeting will focus on completing travel and camping plans in Morocco before the matches.
“The NFF began preparations right after the last qualifier against Benin Republic because of how important these games are,” the official said.
The Super Eagles are expected to arrive in Morocco on November 9, while an advance team will go ahead to make arrangements.

All players will travel directly to Morocco, while the coach and his staff will depart from Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be used during the playoff to ensure fair officiating and correct controversial decisions.
The winner of this playoff tournament will move on to the FIFA Intercontinental Playoff in March 2026.

Winning that match would secure a place at the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
