President Bola Tinubu has changed the top leaders of Nigeria’s Armed Forces to strengthen the country’s security system.

In a statement released by his media adviser, Sunday Dare, Tinubu appointed Olufemi Oluyede as the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing Christopher Musa.
Other new appointments include:
W. Shaibu – Chief of Army Staff
S.K. Aneke – Chief of Air Staff
I. Abbas – Chief of Naval Staff
E.A.P. Undiendeye – remains as Chief of Defence Intelligence
The President thanked the former service chiefs for their loyal service and leadership. He urged the new officers to prove themselves worthy of their positions and to maintain the discipline, professionalism, and unity of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
All the new appointments take effect immediately.
