Wike Credits Tinubu’s Leadership in Abuja

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has credited President Bola Tinubu’s leadership for the transformation taking place across Abuja, particularly in infrastructure development. The statement came during the commissioning of newly completed access roads in Sector Centre B of the Dakibiyu District, Abuja.

Speaking on Tuesday, 14 October, Wike said the remarkable progress achieved under the current administration is a testament to effective governance and strategic leadership. His remarks have further stirred conversations across Nigeria’s political scene.

“By Mr President’s leadership, all the roads here have now been completed,” Wike stated. “In the next few months, we will return for more inaugurations. The Court of Appeal Division will soon be inaugurated by Mr President.”

The Minister emphasised that Abuja’s ongoing development reflects what he described as *“the right leadership.”*

“When you have the right leadership, you can achieve unexpected results. President Tinubu has shown the right leadership, and that is why we are able to deliver these projects,” he added.

He also reflected on the district’s transformation, asking rhetorically, “Was this where we used to walk? This is the same Dakibiyu District that used to be almost inaccessible.”

Wike concluded by urging Nigerians to acknowledge the administration’s achievements and remain focused on progress. “Nigerians owe a lot to the President. Yes, tongues will wag, but when you stay focused, results follow,” he said.

The newly commissioned roads form part of a wider urban renewal initiative aimed at easing traffic flow, improving accessibility, and enhancing the aesthetics of the Federal Capital Territory. The project underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure delivery and national development.
