The Cheetahs, led by their experienced coach Gernot Rohr, are coming into the encounter with high confidence after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday night. The result kept them at the top of Group C with 17 points from nine matches, putting them in a strong position as the qualifiers reach their final stages.

Team officials confirmed that the players and coaching crew flew directly from Kigali to Uyo on Saturday afternoon to continue their preparations for the must-win fixture. Training sessions are expected to begin immediately as Rohr fine-tunes tactics for what promises to be a tense and competitive match.

The showdown is scheduled for Tuesday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, where fans are expected to turn out in large numbers to cheer on both sides.
