The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has restated Nigeria’s commitment to building stronger relations with Argentina, especially in the areas of information sharing, culture, and media cooperation.

He made this known when he received the Argentine Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Nicholas Perrazo Nao, during a courtesy visit in Abuja.
Idris said the meeting would help deepen the friendship between both countries, noting that Nigeria and Argentina have long enjoyed good relations based on respect and cooperation.
“On behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, I want to assure you that we value this visit and see it as another step toward strengthening our partnership,” Idris said. “Our Ministry is dedicated to promoting collaboration in public communication, cultural exchange, and people-to-people engagement.”
He congratulated Ambassador Perrazo on his continued service in Nigeria and expressed confidence that his leadership would help boost cooperation in media development and public enlightenment.
In his response, Ambassador Perrazo thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and praised Nigeria’s leadership role in Africa.
He said accurate and positive information helps connect nations and build understanding.
The Ambassador also pointed out that the visit coincided with a friendly football match between the under-20 teams of both countries, symbolizing their shared cultural and sporting ties.

Both sides agreed to explore new opportunities for media collaboration and cultural exchange projects that would promote shared values and strengthen the relationship between Nigeria and Argentina.
