Popular content creator, Kuye Oghenevwede Adegoke, better known as Egungun of Lagos, has opined that, a person’s educational background does not necessarily equate to success.

In a recent video with Daddy Freeze, the content creator emphasized that a person’s success should be on their passion, hard work, and dedication to their craft.

Egungun, who has built a massive following online, shared his thoughts on the matter, citing examples of successful individuals who have achieved greatness without formal education.

He emphasized that while education can provide a foundation for knowledge and skills, it is not the only factor that determines a person’s success.

“School does not guarantee the success of man. I have a chef, Tayo who is educated. He read biology in school. He has two degrees. He is a nutritionist and a dietitian. He graduated with a second-class upper. I also have 5 staff. All my PAs also have degrees. My videographer too is a graduate,” he said.

The content creator’s statement has generated a mixed reaction from his followers, with some agreeing with his views and others disagreeing.

Some have argued that education provides a competitive edge in the job market and is essential for career advancement, while others have shared stories of successful entrepreneurs and innovators who have achieved success without formal education.

Egungun’s statement has birth an important conversation about the role of education in achieving success and the importance of considering alternative paths to success.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how his views will be received by the public and what impact they will have on the way people think about education and success.
