Stop Killing Us – Ayra Starr Calls For Justice For Murdered FUNAAB Student

Popular Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has demanded justice for Christiana Idowu, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, who was tragically murdered.

The singer via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter on Thursday to advocate for better treatment of women in society and to call for justice for Christiana.

“Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah,” Ayra Starr posted, amplifying the plea for action.

Top Society had earlier reported that  Idowu, was abducted by One Adeleye  Ayomide,  a 200-level student at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) who demanded a sum of three million Naira as a ransom before they could release her.

According to a family source, Christiana had left her home to the University of Lagos in Yaba area, where she was observing her industrial training when the kidnappers abducted her.

The source disclosed further that the abductors had reached out to the family, after she was unreachable for a while, demanding a ransom of three million before she could be released.

The source added that after several appeals from the family, the abductors agreed that a sum of N350,000 be paid to a certain account, which the family paid, but the abductors refused to release her despite the payment.

Reports say intelligence operatives tracked the abductor to his  parents house in Ikorodu through the BVN and account details used in collecting the ransom.

The suspect confessed to killing Christiana and burying her in his family home.

As the investigation unfolds, Ayra Starr and others continue to push for justice for Christiana, with demands for greater accountability and protection for women in Nigeria.
