Acting Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, presented the much-anticipated 2024 appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly on Thursday.
Breaking down the fiscal blueprint, Aiyedatiwa highlighted a total projection of N384,533,000,000.00 for the upcoming year. Out of this substantial amount, N172,518,140,353.00 is earmarked for recurrent expenditure, emphasizing the state’s commitment to essential day-to-day operations.
Furthermore, the budget allocates a significant balance of N212,014,859,647.00 for capital expenditure, reflecting a focus on development and growth initiatives across various sectors within Ondo State.
