“I’m 31-Years-Old, I Want Peace” – Davido Addresses Fan Disappointment Amidst Wizkid’s New Song Support


Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, on Tuesday, showed his colleague, Wizkid some support on the micro blogging platform, X stirring disappointments amongst his fans.

Shortly after Davido pledged his support to Wizkid following a song that should be released by weekend, fans of both artistes started reacting on social media.

Often, fans of the singers are known for attacking each other on social media as they seize the slightest opportunity to compare the accomplished singers.

Davido had tweeted,

“New wiz Friday!!! WTF!!! Replay all weekend!!”

Reacting to the singer post, a fan, Daddy Zee wrote,

‘’ Davido you dey gba fr.’’

In reponse, Davido said,

” Your father dey gba. Nah you know im 31  years old and i want peace.”

Another tweep, @Bigdera, opined that Davido was excited to be friends with Wizkid again.

He wrote,

“Davido is such a huge fan, he has definitely been secretly a fan boy but only have the guts to show it now).”

Apparently a Davido fan, a tweep with the handle @Juni expressed disappointment towards the singer for stanning his ‘rival’ colleague only days after displaying newfound camaraderie with him.

He wrote;

“This man lowkey dey make stanship hard person o, wooo make i go back to my simping and bombing jare.”

Davido’s  show of support for Wizkid comes days after a video of the music icons showing  a moment of camaraderie went viral on social media.

In the heartwarming video, the duo, who are frequently at the center of fan debates over who is the better artiste, put all speculations to rest after an interesting exchange took place: Wizkid had said something, and Davido reacted in kind. Hugs and firm embraces were exchanged, indicating a camaraderie that seemed to transcend past rivalries.
