The health of ace Canadian singer Celine Dion has worsened following her battle with a neurological disease.
Recall the legendary singer Celine on December 2022 announced her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disorder causing uncontrollable muscle tension.
In August, an elder sister of singer Claudette Dion said that the family has not found “any medicine that works.”

In an update, however, she disclosed in a recent interview with the French-Canadian magazine 7 Jours that her sister lost control of her muscles.
“She works hard, but she has no control over her muscles,”
Claudette said via translation from French.
“What breaks my heart is that she has always been disciplined. She has always worked hard. Our mother always told her, ‘You are going to do well, you are going to do well’.”
She also said ongoing research into the condition has not progressed due to its rarity.
“The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is a muscle too. This is what is coming for me. Because it is a one in a million case, the scientists did not do that much research because it did not affect that many people,”
she added.
In May, the 55-year-old singer cancelled her Courage World Tour due to the disorder, which can cause painful muscle spasms and stiffness.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again,”
she wrote.
“I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.”
