Nigerian singer, Davido has paid a surprise visit to the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara shortly after visiting former Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike in Abuja.
The singer who is currently on ’Timeless tour’ thrilled concertgoers at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt yesterday, 17th December 2023 before visiting the state government house, where he met with the Governor.
Davido who recently lamented the poor turnout from concertgoers at his Abuja show on December 13, had paid a visit to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory before touching down the treasure base of the nation on December 16 to entertain his fans.
The singer shared video from the meeting with Fubara after giving an appreciation speech where he thanked the Governor for supporting the youths in the state.
Recall, Davido said the three-city concerts scheduled for December 14, 17, and 24 will mark the end of the ‘Timeless’ tour for this year. The father of five is billed to round up his performance at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on December 24, after his thrilling shows at Abuja and Port Harcourt.
The singer released ‘Timeless’, his fourth album, on March 31, and on April 10, the album secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart. ‘Timeless’ album so far surfaced one billion streams across major platforms on August 3.
With a slew of awards and accolades, Davido has firmly established himself as one of the prominent names in the African music industry.
