Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido was on Thursday night in shock after his concert in Abuja experienced a seemingly low turnout.


Top Society reports that the Grammy-nominated singer, who was scheduled to perform at the Eagles Square, took to the microblogging platform X to wonder why the turnout of concertgoers was low at the venue.


“Abuja be like ur people no wan do the show. Is this a prank ???”


Davido wrote.


The singer’s amusement sparked mixed reactions, with fans of Davido questioning his popularity in Abuja.

However, a few hours after the singer’s tweet gained traction, the concert venue began to witness the arrival of many concertgoers.


Recall, Davido disclosed that he would conclude his Timeless world tour for 2023 in Nigeria.

According to the singer in October, the three-city concerts scheduled for December 14, 17, and 24 will mark the end of the ‘Timeless’ tour for 2023.


The concerts are set to kick start in the federal capital territory (FCT), after which the singer will move to Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt and round up at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on December 24.


The singer released ‘Timeless’, his fourth album on March 31.


On April 10, the album secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
