Peter Obi Calls for Increased Military Funding Post Kaduna Air Strike

In the wake of the recent accidental military air strike at Tudun Biri village in Kaduna State, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has demanded increased funding for the military and security agencies to bolster their operations and prevent future tragedies.

Obi, who visited victims at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, decried the alarming toll of 16 accidental military bombings claiming over 500 lives, criticizing the lack of preventative measures by the Federal Government.

The former Anambra State governor emphasised the urgency of government support for the military to avert such incidents and underscores the pivotal role of adequate funding in addressing contemporary security challenges.

Advocating for an investigation into the Tudun Biri air strike, Obi proposed the establishment of a foundation to aid victims, especially those orphaned by the drone attack, highlighting the need for a comprehensive response to the aftermath of the tragic event.
