Grammy Winning singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has announced that he will be giving out 100million Naira to children to celebrate the festive season.
The singer made his intention to spread joy this Christmas on his Instagram story on Monday.
The “Ojuelegba” crooner had pledged to kickstart this generous act in Surulere, where he spent his formative years.
The singer wrote,
“100M for the kids for Christmas . Lord bless us all starts in Surulere tonight!”
The singer in another post also disclosed that the donation is dedicated to the memory of his late mother, who was laid to rest in a grand ceremony amongst friends and family a few weeks ago.
“All in Morayo’s name, the love of my life,”
the singer added.
The artist, who recently opened up about taking a music break said he remains focused on making a positive impact beyond the realm of entertainment.
