NYSC Rescues Two More Abducted Corps Members in Zamfara

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the safety of its members by securing the release of two female prospective corps members who were among those kidnapped in Zamfara. The victims were en route to the orientation camp in Sokoto when the incident occurred.

This positive outcome follows earlier efforts by the Nigerian Army, which successfully secured the release of a male and a female victim. However, four prospective corps members remained captive in the hands of the kidnappers until the recent announcement by the NYSC on Thursday.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director General of the NYSC, reassured the public that every possible effort is being made to secure the freedom of the remaining victims.

He expressed confidence in the collaboration with security agencies and pledged that the NYSC would explore all available strategies to ensure the safe release of the captives, emphasizing their return to their families unharmed.

The Director of Press for the NYSC, Eddie Megwa, released a statement commending the Nigerian Army for its dedicated efforts in securing the release of the abducted prospective corps members.
