The Nigerian Air Force (
NAF) has officially announced the sale of one of its aircraft, the Falcon 900B, which was previously a part of the presidential air fleet. The announcement, made through a flyer shared on the NAF’s official page late Monday, invites interested parties to submit bids for the acquisition of this aircraft in accordance with the Federal Government’s approval.
The sale is being conducted in strict adherence to the Public Procurement Act of 2007, ensuring a transparent and lawful process. The Falcon 900B, a prominent asset within the NAF’s inventory, is now available for interested entities to acquire.
According to the official flyer, bids can be submitted through two methods: via email or physical submission. If submitted by email, bids are required to be password-protected and sent to
dproc@airforce.mil.ng, with the password sent separately to
dproc2@airforce.mil.ng. For physical submission, quotations should be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the interested company/entity, along with a clear description and reference to the request. The envelope must also be marked with the statement, “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.”
The announcement further clarified that the NAF would promptly initiate the processing of bids received after the expiration of the submission deadline.
The statement from the NAF read in part, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the sale of Falcon 900B aircraft owned by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
“In compliance with provisions of the public procurement Act 2007, the NAF hereby invites all interested parties to submit bids for purchase of the aircraft. The bids can be submitted by email or physically.
“If submitted by email, the bids are to be password protected and sent to dproc@airforce.mil.ng while the password is to be sent separately to d proc2@ airforce.miI.ng.
“For physical submission, the quotations are to be enclosed in an envelope and sealed while the envelope is to bear the name and address of the interested company/entity as well as the description and reference to the request.
“It should also bear the statement, ‘DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023’.
“Please note that the bids would be processed immediately after expiration of the deadline for submission.”
