Beauty queen Mitchel Ihezue recently set tongues wagging after she announced her engagement to businessman and politician Nicholas Ukachukwu.
The reigning Miss Universe Nigeria first broke the news on December 1 via Instagram but kept her lover’s identity hidden.
She wrote,
“It’s a new a month, A new season, A new beginning, A new page has turned, It is time to write a new chapter. It is a new dawn,”
she captioned her post and ended with “#UNendinglove23”.
However, on Sunday, Ihezue revealed the identity of her husband-to-be with his alias Ikukuoma.
The wedding is billed for Tuesday, December 5, and both friends and well-wishers have begun sending congratulatory messages on the photo-sharing app.
Who Is Nicholas Ukachukwu?
Ukachukwu, better known as Ikukuoma, is the chairman/chief executive officer of SNECOU Group Limited.
He is a former member of the House of Representatives, where he represented the Abuja Area Council.
He has unsuccessfully tried to represent Anambra South Senatorial District at the Senate and get elected as governor of the state since leaving the Green Chamber in 2003.
He is also a former head of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
Ukachukwu’s first wife, Nnenna, died in a car accident in 2020 at the age of 41. Their union produced five sons.
What To Know about Mitchel Ihezue
Mitchel Ihezue is a 26-year-old visual artist who was crowned by Hannah Iribhogbe, as the Miss Universe Nigeria 2022.
Hailing from Imo State, Ihezue advocates for women’s rights and has a master’s degree in business administration from Lagos Business School.
In 2017, she was crowned the ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria’ and represented Nigeria at the ‘Miss World’ beauty pageant in the same year.
Mitchel was in the top 40 and earned the title ‘Miss World Top Model 2017’ in the global pageant.
As the reigning Miss Universe Nigeria, Ihezue represented her country globally at the Miss Universe 2023 competition in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
