President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Wura-Ola Adepoju as the substantive Comptroller General (CG) of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
Adepoju, the most senior deputy comptroller-general (DCG), took on the role of acting CG after the expiration of Isah Jere’s tenure on May 29, 2023.
This announcement was made during a routine parade on Wednesday, where Mrs. Adepoju addressed the men and officers of the NIS. She revealed that her official decoration would be made public shortly.

“You may also wish to know that, through the grace of God and the benevolence of the present government, I have been confirmed as a substantive Comptroller General of Immigration,” a statement by the Public Relations Unit of the Service quoted her as saying.
Additionally, the newly appointed CG shared that some members of the top management team, who recently participated in a promotion examination, have been elevated to the prestigious ranks of deputy Comptrollers-general (DCGs).
