The Family of the late Toluige Babalola, alleged to have committed suicide in Edo state has dismissed the reports alleging that she was suicidal.
TopSociety had earlier reported that Toluige, the mother of Oreofeoluwa who become an instant sensation on social media platforms for the ‘Mummy Calm Down‘ three years ago, committed suicide during the week.
Speaking about her death, the sister to Mrs Babaola, Olaronke Hernandez in an interview with TVC news said the deceased was incapable of taking her own life.
Mrs Babalola who worked as a medical distributor and stayed happily with her husband who is a taxi driver and car dealer took her own life on 7th of November, according to reports.
Toluige Babalola from Ibadan in Oyo State, was born on June 9th 1984, and had gotten married to Babalola Lawal in 2015, and they have two children.
Olaronke stressed that Tolu had so much to live for hence, her inability to take her own life.
She further maintained that it was a disservice to her soul and that of the children of her late sister, if the family allows the narrative of suicide to continue.
The family is however confident that the Nigeria Police will do a thorough job.
Speaking on the investigation, the police public relations officer, Edo command, Chidi Nwabuzor affirmed the determination of the police to carry out a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Olaronke had described her sister as a hard-working, loving sister who was also an irreplaceable friend.
All attention is now on the Nigeria police and possibly an autopsy to help her family and loved ones finally get closure on how the mother of two died.
