Stella Maris Okafor, the wife of ailing Nollywood actor, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu has clarified the reports alleging that she lavished the donations solicited for her husband’s hospital bills.
It would be recalled that the daughter of the comic actor, Jasmine is reportedly at loggerheads with Stella over his donations.
This comes after controversial Instagram blogger, Gistlover alleged that the actor’s wife wants all the donations to fund her lavish lifestyle as she always wanted to own the latest phones and cars.
The blog had also claimed that Mr Ibu’s wife had used her account to get N1 million from the donation.
Speaking on the development, the actor’s wife via her Instagram page on Sunday night, called out her step daughter for speading malicious lies against her and interfering in her marriage.
She further disclosed that, the reason for using the one million from donations was because she wanted to offset some bills on the home fronts which was an instruction from her husband.
She said, she did not have access to the main account because it was solely controlled by her step- daughter, adding that the reason she’s spreading malicious lies against her, was to ensure she’s in charge of the donation account.
She dismissed the reports alleging that she wanted the donations to buy luxury car for herself, stressing that her step daughter was only spreading the lies as a tool to blackmail her because she had once had the conversation with Jasmine and her younger brother.
She further relayed her reason for needing a car at the time with her step daughter; according to the actor’s wife, needing a car was to ease her stress to cope with the suffering, she was experiencing with public transport while having hospital schedules, couple with home challenges.
She maintained that she has never taken Jasmine’s name to a native doctor as she never engaged in anything fetish.
She said that her step daughter’s ‘Campaign of Calumny’ against her started after she asked for the statement of the Access bank which the donations for the ailing actor was made, following some suspicious movements noticed on the account after she asked for transparency in the handling of the public donations.
She stressed that despite being the actor’s wife, she has no idea on the status of the account as no one is willing to put her through.
