Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci has congratulated Irish counterpart Alan Fisher following his new Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual previously held by her.
Hilda, had in June set her record of 93 hours and 11 minutes after preparing over 100 varieties of food during her four-day kitchen stint.

According to GWR, has broken two cooking-related Guinness World Records titles, adding that the impressive thing about the chef is that he took on both attempts back to back, meaning he was at work in the kitchen for over 160 hours with just over a day of rest in between.
Reacting to the news, Hilda via the mircroblogging plaform X formerly Twitter congratulated Fisher for his huge achievement.
Her post reads;
“Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”
Hilda also noted that she would be forever be grateful to have held the record.
“I’m so happy to have held a record so prestigious and profound I will forever be honored and grateful for all the love and support,” she wrote.
Fisher, according to a statement released by the chef earlier, was said to have had difficulty staying afloat when lockdowns and restrictions were introduced due to COVID-19.
In order to channel his frustration and negativity into something positive, he decided to take on the record-breaking journey himself.
“Lata and Hilda’s achievements served as an inspiration,” he said.
