The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, extended an unexpected invitation to the presidential hopefuls of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party. Ganduje, in a statement released on Thursday, emphasized that the aspirants, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, still have an opportunity to realize their presidential ambitions after the anticipated second term of President Bola Tinubu in 2031.

The statement, signed by Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Edwin Olofu, also applauded the recent decision of the Supreme Court, which validated the triumph of President Tinubu in the fiercely contested February 25 presidential election. Ganduje hailed the court’s verdict, asserting that it conclusively put to rest the allegations of electoral manipulation levied by the opposition parties against President Tinubu’s victory.

Obi to Decide Future After Supreme Court Dismissal

With a focus on the future, Ganduje expressed his conviction that the Supreme Court’s ruling would enable President Tinubu to dedicate his efforts towards fulfilling the ‘Renewed Hope’ mandate of the APC, promising substantial benefits for the Nigerian populace.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us; it is our responsibility as patriots to pull our resources together to move the country forward.

“I congratulate both Atiku and Obi for their dogged fight in extending the frontiers of our democracy and law.

“This is democracy. Tinubu’s victory is another victory for democratic rule in the country.

“There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to actualise their presidential aspiration after the second-term tenure of President Tinubu in 2031,” he said.

Ganduje urged all Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite in support of the President, ensuring that he can deliver greater democratic benefits and steer the nation towards a sustainable path of progress.
