The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alongside the National Working Committee (NWC), is currently engaging with members of the Ondo State House of Assembly regarding the ongoing impeachment proceedings targeting the Ondo state deputy governor, Lucky Ayiedatiwa.
The meeting, which includes the Aminu Bello Masari-led 9-man reconciliation committee and the state party chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, is part of the recently inaugurated efforts by the Ganduje-led NWC to resolve the internal party crisis.
Earlier, the party’s leadership had voiced concerns over the impeachment plans initiated by the lawmakers, citing alleged disrespect of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu during his medical leave and accusations of misuse of authority, allegations firmly refuted by Deputy Governor Ayiedatiwa.
