LCC Elects a new Leader, Idahosa

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has joyfully elected Gabriel Idahosa as its new President and Chairman of the Council, succeeding Michael Olawale-Cole, whose tenure recently expired.
The announcement was conveyed in a statement released by the Chamber on Thursday, highlighting that Gabriel Idahosa’s election was a result of his significant contributions and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Chamber, encompassing public policy advocacy and the protection of the interests of the Nigerian business community.
Chinyere Almona, the Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, revealed that Idahosa’s presidency was confirmed following a duly conducted election at the Chamber’s 135th annual general meeting on Thursday, December 7, 2023, held at the Commerce House in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Almona praised Idahosa as a distinguished individual with a notable track record of leadership, dedication, and commitment to the growth and development of various organizations, particularly in the fields of professional services, trade promotion, and industry. She highlighted Idahosa’s commendable service as the Deputy President of the Chamber over the past two years.
Expressing excitement and satisfaction with Idahosa assuming the role of President, Almona stated, “As a Council Member and a key officer of the Chamber, he has brought his extensive knowledge and experience to bear and has provided quality perspectives to deliberations at the Chamber.”
The Director General expressed confidence that Idahosa’s presidency would strengthen the Chamber’s position as a leading advocate for best business policy and practices, further promoting and safeguarding the interests of its members and the broader business community.
